Quick answer

How many Dave the Diver DLC packs are there?

Steam currently lists five content packs for Dave the Diver: Digital Extra, DREDGE, Godzilla, Ichiban's Holiday, and In the Jungle. Four add gameplay or crossover events; Digital Extra is a cosmetic and soundtrack bundle rather than a new story area.

DREDGE and Godzilla are free. In the Jungle and Ichiban's Holiday are paid content. Godzilla and Ichiban can only be claimed through December 31, 2026; once claimed, Steam says they remain playable afterward.

Best starting pointClaim the time-limited packs first, then choose In the Jungle if you want the largest new progression area.

What each pack changes

Choose DLC by the kind of content you want

The packs are not equal in scale, so install order should follow your goal rather than release date.
Permanent

DREDGE: the best free systems expansion

DREDGE adds foggy-night dives, aberrant fish, a traveling merchant, and a separate sushi-night loop. It is the easiest recommendation because it is free and does not replace the normal campaign.

Its special weather begins after Chapter 3, so a new save will not show the crossover immediately.

Limited claim

Godzilla: short crossover story content

Godzilla is a compact mission pack rather than a long expansion. Claim it before the deadline even if you are not ready to play it.

The relevant story arrives after Chapter 5 and can be selected again through the Extras menu after completion.

Limited sale

Ichiban's Holiday: minigame-focused paid DLC

Ichiban's Holiday adds a beat-'em-up sequence, a karaoke rhythm game, a board-game activity, new dishes, and crossover characters.

It is available only through December 31, 2026, so ownership timing matters more than immediate story progress.

Permanent

In the Jungle: the major expansion

In the Jungle is the largest standalone expansion, moving Dave to a freshwater jungle region with new fish, gear paths, wildlife systems, and village progression.

It is best after completing the main story. Use our dedicated In the Jungle guide for preparation and progression details.

Limited availability

Claim Godzilla and Ichiban before the 2026 deadline

Both collaboration licenses have a fixed store window. Steam states that the Godzilla Content Pack and Ichiban's Holiday are available until December 31, 2026.

Godzilla is free, while Ichiban is paid. If either pack is already in your library, it remains accessible after the store window closes.

Deadline: December 31, 2026

Verify ownership on your platform account now instead of waiting until you reach the required chapter.

Activation checklist

How to activate Dave the Diver DLC

Most missing-DLC problems come from ownership, installation, chapter progress, or event timing.
1
Verify the exact pack in your platform library

The base game does not automatically grant paid packs. Open the relevant Steam or console store page and confirm that the pack is owned and installed.

2
Update the base game

Install the newest game update before troubleshooting. Collaboration scripts and menu entries depend on compatible base-game data.

3
Reach the required chapter or story state

DREDGE and Ichiban need Chapter 3 progress, Godzilla needs Chapter 5, and In the Jungle is designed for a cleared main story.

4
Wait for the event trigger

Some packs use weather, an in-game phone call, or a later-day invitation rather than adding a permanent button to the title screen.

5
Restart and recheck downloadable content

If ownership is correct but the event is absent, restart the client, verify files, and confirm the DLC checkbox is enabled.

DLC vs free update

Not every Dave the Diver collaboration is a DLC pack

Balatro, Potion Craft, mxmtoon, and other collaborations have also appeared through free game updates. They can add minigames, songs, characters, or event content without appearing as separate products on the Steam DLC hub.

For a clean checklist, treat a separate store content pack as DLC and treat patch-delivered collaborations as updates. This prevents players from searching for a download that does not exist.

  • Check the Steam DLC hub for separate installable packs.
  • Check official update notes for collaborations delivered inside a patch.
  • Do not use unofficial download pages for missing event content.
